See More Garden Goodies: http://www.WisconsinGarden.com – – – Imagine horticulture in December right below in Wisconsin. Today it’s 42 levels, no snow and the sunlight’s shining and I’m going to tidy up one of my iris beds. This year was a hard year in this iris bed as a result of the dreaded iris bore which attacked this bed for the very first time. I made a decision to eliminate all the leaves to the root to see how well this helps. After that I will certainly cover them back with fallen leaves as a leaf covering and also remove them in springtime. All cuttings will be thrown out, taking safety measures in not infecting my garden compost bed. So, today was the perfect day to achieve those unfinished jobs without really feeling guilty for not attending them earlier this fall. May you and also your family members have a remarkable holiday and a flourishing New Year.
